Dr Zhihao Lan

Postdoctoral Research Assistant in Quantum Mechanical Calculation Methods

Zhihao is a postdoctoral research assistant at the Franklin involved in applying quantum mechanical calculation methods to electron-vibration-vibration two dimensional infrared spectroscopy (EVV 2DIR) for detection of drug binding to a target protein.

Zhihao has obtained his PhD in physics from Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh in 2012. Before joined the Rosalind Franklin Institute in August 2020,  He has worked as postdoctoral research fellow at Southampton University (November/2011-October/2014), Nottingham University (November/2014-October/2017) and UCL(January/2018-May/2020). His research interests revolve around quantum physics.
