After 20 years in agriculture a career change led Paul to working at BBSRC Compton as a Facilities Maintenance Engineer, this is where he gained his early knowledge of laboratories and procedures, after 12 years Paul had progressed into the role of Facilities Maintenance Supervisor heading the maintenance team. The closure of the Compton site meant a move to Aptuit at Milton Park as Site Supervisor, here Paul managed all of the maintenance tasks leading a team of 6 engineers. Next came Facilities Manager roles for Immunocore and Psioxus Therapeutics where he was responsible for expansion into new spaces, laboratory fit outs, refurbishments and ongoing building management.

Paul enjoys watching cricket at West Ilsley where he played for many many years and most Sundays he can be found on the West Berkshire Golf course.
