Sahar Abdelkarim

Support Scientist

Sahar is a support scientist in Professor Ray Owens’ group. Her role involves the screening of nanobodies using phage display techniques, protein purification and characterisation.

Prior to this position she worked as a research assistant at the University of Oxford in the Structural biology department.

Sahar completed a MSc in Microbiology and Infection at the University of Birmingham and prior to this, studied an undergraduate degree in the Netherlands. Before moving to the UK, Sahar worked for the RIKILT institute-Wageningen University as a research Technician.
