Alexander Wilkes

PhD Student

Alex graduated from the University of Reading with a BSc in Biochemistry and MRes in Biomedicine. Before joining the Franklin, he worked for 3 years as a research assistant in the University of Oxford’s Centre for Medicines Discovery. His work focused on Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s disease, and he has a continuing interest in drug discovery for neurodegenerative diseases. He is excited to explore the AI and Correlated Imaging themes, to see how new technique and tool development can drive our understanding and response to disease in the future.
