I gained my first experience of labs at Aptuit on Milton Park where I held the role of Facilities and M+E Co-ordinator, this was predominantly an admin-based role. After 12 years I felt the need to move on and progress and this took me to Adaptimmune also based on Milton Park. There I was given the opportunity to become Facilities Manager a role which I held for 6 years. During my time at Adaptimmune I managed a move into a bespoke building, which was an enormous challenge but went very smoothly. I was responsible for the Building Fabric, M+E, Technician, Stores, Soft services and small laboratory fit outs and refurbishments which kept me very busy.

In my free time I enjoy adventures in my T25 camper, spending time with my family and reading.
