Nick Crawford

Research Software Engineer

Nick is a research software engineer who specialises in data manipulation, storage and visualisation.

Nick studied Ocean science at the University of Plymouth and shortly after graduation moved across the country to begin his career working as a research scientist at the national physical laboratories (NPL) in the field of underwater acoustics. He then moved into the engineering field with Fugro where he discovered a passion for coding.

In more recent years, Nick has been working as a research data/software engineer for Oxehealth. His primary focus was, supporting their researcher’s data needs/requests, redesigning and rewriting their ETL data pipeline, building data tooling to support the reduction of data stored/required.
