Specialising in the design of bespoke scientific equipment, with expertise in Ultra-High-Vacuum (UHV), cryogenics and nano-positioning systems. Engineering can provide solutions from simple customised sample holders to complex cryogenic, in-vacuum sample handling systems.
Design is carried out using the Creo CAD system.
In-house we have a range of 3D printers to produce quick turnaround solutions for sample holders, brackets and components (for use in air). A 4-axis CNC for metalwork, two lathes and a laser cutter.
For larger projects and vacuum components we sub-contract to multiple specialist suppliers.

Automated sample preparation station
This sample preparation station is designed to automate cryogenic sample preparation, improving efficiency, sample repeatability and sample quality.
