Dr Andrea Pinto

Postdoctoral Research Associate
About

Andrea completed her undergraduate studies in Chemistry, Microbiology and Zoology, followed by master’s degree in Molecular Biology and Human Genetics. She then earned a PhD in Structural Biology from Université Grenoble Alpes, focusing on IgM antibodies and their role in complement activation. Using a combination of biochemical, biophysical, and structural approaches, including cryo-electron microscopy, she contributed new insights into antibody structure and function.

Currently, Andrea is a Research Associate in the Multidimensional Imaging group, where she investigates protein dynamics using liquid-phase electron microscopy.
