Chloe (Zhiyuan) Cheng is a PhD student at the Franklin. She obtained a BEng and MS in nuclear engineering from Fudan University (2018) and MIT (2020) respectively, where she worked on advanced nuclear reactor technology. She then shifted her research interest to biomedicine and completed an MSc in radiation biology at the University of Oxford (2021), during which her research project was on the development of an X-ray FLASH radiotherapy device. She wishes to continue applying her engineering skills in the field of life sciences at the Franklin.
