Franklin students work on highly interdisciplinary projects across our Themes with real-world impact, world-leading research supervisors, access to industrial collaborations and top universities from across the UK and beyond-state-of-the-art technologies.

Internships

We are a partner organisation in the HDRUK Black Internship Programme, in association with the 10,000 Black Interns initiative, and host interns as part of this scheme on an annual basis.

We also host PhD students in multiple doctoral training programmes in universities around the UK who are interested in using our Franklin technologies to benefit their own research.

Work experience

At the Franklin we are keen to promote scientific training and careers to young people. During our work experience programme, students will complete laboratory projects supervised by scientists and learn more about working at a scientific research institute. Students in Year 10 and 12 from local schools in Oxfordshire are invited to get in touch if they are interested in taking part.
