Ben Thair

Ben has a background in protein science, though has been lucky enough to try his hand at several other disciplines along the way. His previous job was as a Research Scientist at a start-up that made biological fabric dyes. While there, Ben started writing software for the scientists he worked with, and enjoyed it so much that when the chance came to change jobs, he decided to become a full-time RSE.

Outside of work, Ben cycles frequently, plays piano badly and has an enduring love-hate relationship with creative writing.
