Gloria’s PhD project involves the use of graphene-based encapsulation, along with other complementary techniques, to study the response of soft materials under medium-to-high pressure conditions.
Gloria read Chemistry at Wadham College, Oxford, focusing her Master’s project on investigating Mass Photometry’s precision in detecting low-mass proteins. She then gained two years of teaching experience at Tonbridge School. Gloria is now excited to use her interdisciplinary background to tackle complex science questions with the novel technologies available at the Franklin.
